Meet Your Guitar Teacher

I’ve been playing guitar for 47 years and teaching for 18. Over that time, I’ve learned that progress doesn’t come from cramming in more information — it comes from understanding what to practise, why it matters, and how to make it stick.

My lessons are practical, structured and designed to help you make genuine progress without feeling overwhelmed.

Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time, coming back to it after years away, or simply feel like you’ve stopped progressing, my aim is the same: to help you become a more confident, capable guitarist — and enjoy the process.

Why SkeetGuitar?

Good guitar teaching isn’t about giving you more things to learn. It’s about helping you understand what matters, practise it effectively and turn it into something you can actually play.

Learn What Actually Matters

Focus on the techniques and ideas that will make the biggest difference to your playing — without wasting time on things you don’t need yet.

Practise With Purpose

Break techniques into manageable steps, work on one job at a time, then bring everything together when you’re ready.

Build Skills That Stick

Develop solid technique, better musical understanding and the confidence to use what you’ve learned in real playing.

What My Students Say

Within a month, I was actually playing a tune. I cannot describe how I felt. Skeet is very patient, and it’s so much fun. I cannot recommend him enough.

— Alison Parry

Skeet offers clear, meaningful instruction and has a good sense of when students are becoming frustrated. He is able to realign them quickly and effectively. I can guarantee he will move your playing on.

— Alan Wilkins

Skeet is a gifted teacher, with the ability to really make you believe in yourself — something a lot of us ‘grown-ups’ sometimes struggle with.

— Louise Edwards
